I finally got to see Guano Apes in their “2nd home” & was great. Really wanted to see them in the Coliseums of Porto/Lisbon, but, due to cancellations etc it fell through. I think it was this show that i got lucky with the timing of arrivals. (If it wasn’t this one, it was another Portuguese show lol) When i landed & got out the airport looking for a taxi or whatever, who should also come out but Guano Apes ! So i got a lift to the venue with them.
This was a good one. We hung around after the gig. There was only myself , Agota, Michel & Adam there. We didn’t get to meet the band,but, someone took CDs in for them to sign & we all got a special promo photo autographed. I gave them a copy of a recent Japanese gig bootleg to sign. When they guy came back, he was like “Who’s is the bootleg?” I told him it was mine & he said “The band don’t really like to sign this stuff, but have done it this time” 🙂
After the gig, myself, Michel & Agota carried on partying. Following day was my birthday, so any excuse eh ?
Show was filmed for MTV. A bootleg CD also came out.
